Need help with something in the Prototyping Shop?

Follow these steps to get where you need to go!

Step 1: Identify Your Needs

Do you need help accessing a machine? Check our Equipment and Resources page to view machine information and training requirements. Basic equipment specs and introductory materials are stored under each Lab's page.

To complete Basic Shop Safety Training, please book time with John. If you are looking for general project help, skip to step 3.

Step 2: Online Training

Check to see if a resource has Digital Online Training associated with it. Online training is meant to be a basic overview and is a prerequisite for access. NOTE: Not all equipment has associated training! If you still have extensive questions about a resource without online training, move to step 3.

Step 3: Book Time With Staff

Some equipment will require a help session to access. Help sessions can be booked a day in advance at the bottom of this page. Choose a time slot and fill out the form. Expect to meet in the Shop or at a prearranged location. Please reach out to Staff if you have any questions about your session.

If working on a machine that requires reservation, please book that machine's time to line up with your help session. Reserving time in advance is the only way to guarantee the machinery will be available at that time. Have any required files and materials, and questions prepared. We want to make the most of your time!
