In this class, we will cover the process of converting ideas into reality using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Software, 3D Printing, CNC Machining, “Plug-n-Play” Electronics kits, and everything else needed to have “prototypes in hand”. We will discuss various ways to design and prototype using popular materials like Wood, Plastic, Steel, and Aluminum. The class will wrap up with an overview of the “state of the union” regarding digital prototyping technologies for today and tomorrow.
